The No.06 project is now entering its final stages, with only minor snagging items, finishing details remaining before full handover. After nearly four months of construction and refurbishment work, it is exciting to see the transformation of the house nearing completion.
What began as a series of drawings and ideas has gradually become a bright, open, and functional home for a growing young family, carefully tailored to suit the needs of its users, for the present and future.
The new open-plan kitchen, dining, and living space is now fully formed, with the various elements of the project coming together to create a welcoming environment. The reconfigured layout has dramatically improved the flow through the ground floor, providing better connections between spaces and creating a home that is better suited to a young modern family life.
Externally, the modest infill extension sits comfortably within the existing house, demonstrating how relatively small interventions can have a significant impact on the way a property functions and feels.
As construction draws to a close, attention has turned to the final finishing touches. Decoration, joinery details, adjustments, and snagging works are all being completed ahead of handover.
There is always a particular sense of anticipation at this stage of a project. The dust and noise of construction have fade away, rooms with newly laid out furniture start to feel lived-in rather than built, and the family can finally begin to imagine how they will occupy and enjoy the space.
